Wildroot Botanicals is a small family business located in the lovely Pacific Northwest. Leslie began Wildroot focusing on preparations for the childbearing years for midwives and her doula clients. She is also a lactation consultant, prenatal yoga instructor and the proud mama of my little boy, Kosta.
Her husband, Orion has a masters in Chemistry and is working on his PhD in Bioengineering which he applies to our specialty plant extraction. He has a deep love for traditional medicine. Together we began the art of distilling, producing our very own wildcrafted and farm grown floral waters (hydrosols) and essential oils.
All of our creations are produced small scale, in small batches. We believe in the importance of using our own hands to create. This ensures the highest quality in our minds, when each item is witnessed through it's various stages bringing the finest medicine to the marketplace. With most of our products the day you order it, is the day we make it...excluding tinctures which take at least one lunar cycle.
All our ingredients are high quality organic, ethically wildcrafted and fair trade certified. We do not believe in the use of artificial fragrances, chemicals or preservatives. Nothing surpasses the health giving properties of what the Earth natural grows!
We work to preserve our wild roots! Herbs are a part of all of our histories. Herbalism was once a primary form of health care. At Wildroot Botanicals we like to honor and remember the importance herbs played in our lives as well as preserve this knowledge.
We dedicate ourselves to taking care of our plant communities, as many of the most well known western herbs are endanger of extinction due to over harvesting and urban expansion. We work in various ways and with organizations such as United Plant Savers to do our part to ensure healthy futures for our plant friends.
